Terms of use
Plain English, and a draft: the founder reviews it before launch. It is not yet the final terms.
What Declarable is
A documentation aid for makers of products with digital elements. It checks SBOMs, matches components against public vulnerability data, and prepares drafts and checklists for you to review and edit.
What it is not (this is a term of the agreement)
- It is not legal advice.
- It is not certification, and nobody at Declarable assesses or signs off your product.
- Everything it prepares is a draft. You decide what is true for your product, you sign your own declaration of conformity, and you file your own reports.
- Public vulnerability data is incomplete and sometimes late. A clean result means nothing was found in the data we checked, not that nothing is wrong.
Your content
What you upload stays yours. You let us store and process it to run the service for you, as the privacy page describes. You promise you have the right to upload it.
Using the service
Do not attack it, overload it, or use it to scan systems you have no right to. We may limit or suspend use that does.
Paid plans
The plans and what each one includes are on the pricing page. Every account starts on the Free plan.
Liability
We take care, but the service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on a draft or a check result instead of your own review. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts hear disputes.
Not legal advice: a lawyer should check these terms before launch.
Declarable prepares documentation for you to review. It is not legal advice and not certification. You sign your own declaration of conformity.
