About Declarable
Who makes it
Declarable is made by one person in the UK, with a background in compliance filing. It is a small, independent product, not a division of a larger company.
Questions, corrections and complaints go to a person who reads them. Write to hello@declarable.io.

Why it exists
The EU Cyber Resilience Act asks every maker of a product with digital elements to know what software is inside it, to handle vulnerabilities for a stated support period, to report some of them within hours, and to keep technical documentation. Large firms have teams for that. A five-person company making a thermostat or a sensor does not, and the consultancies that fill the gap price for companies ten times its size.
Declarable starts from the thing small teams already have, an SBOM from Zephyr, Yocto or ESP-IDF, and from the free tools that make it usable. It then prepares the drafts and checklists around it, so the paperwork is a side job rather than a project.
What it is not
- Not legal advice. For a legal question about your product, ask a lawyer.
- Not certification. Nobody at Declarable assesses your product or signs anything for you.
- Not an assessment body, and not a filing agent: you submit your own reports.
Declarable prepares documentation for you to review. It is not legal advice and not certification. You sign your own declaration of conformity.
