nRF Cloud client library in Zephyr firmware: identifiers and CRA notes
·
What it is
nRF Cloud client library
Notes on this component
The client library for Nordic's nRF Cloud device-management service (`subsys/net/lib/nrf_cloud` in `sdk-nrf`): MQTT and REST transports, device shadow, A-GNSS/P-GPS assistance, FOTA. It is the code that authenticates the device to the cloud and parses whatever the service sends back, so a flaw in it is remotely reachable by design. No CPE exists for it. Ask Nordic Semiconductor, through the nRF Connect SDK support channel, for its product-security notices.
Where it hides in a firmware SBOM
It is compiled into the kernel image when CONFIG_NRF_CLOUD is y. It does not appear in west spdx output; the only trace is the .config file in your build directory.
The identifiers we assign
No PURL and no CPE are recorded for this row.
{version} is filled in from your build. The version is read from the version your SBOM already carries for it.
The SBOM check adds these identifiers to a component your build listed without them.
Honest gaps
Vendor: nordicsemiconductor.
This row has no CPE and no PURL, so feeds cannot be matched by identifier.
