ESP-IDF esp_event in ESP-IDF firmware: identifiers and CRA notes
What it is
ESP-IDF esp_event
Notes on this component
The event loop library other components publish and subscribe through. It passes messages between components inside the device and reads nothing from outside. Espressif ships it as first-party ESP-IDF source with no release line or advisory feed of its own, so the only identifier that exists for it is ESP-IDF's.
Where it hides in a firmware SBOM
ESP-IDF records it from the component's own sbom.yml file, so what the SBOM says depends on what that file declares.
The identifiers we assign
pkg:github/espressif/esp-idf@{version}cpe:2.3:a:espressif:esp-idf:{version}:*:*:*:*:*:*:*
{version} is filled in from your build.
The SBOM check adds these identifiers to a component your build listed without them.
