CMock (ThrowTheSwitch C mocking framework) in ESP-IDF firmware: identifiers and CRA notes
What it is
CMock (ThrowTheSwitch C mocking framework)
Notes on this component
ESP-IDF vendors ThrowTheSwitch/CMock, the mock-generator that pairs with Unity for component unit tests (components/cmock). Flagged buildTool for the same reason as the `unity` row: it compiles into test binaries only. No NVD CPE entry exists for it.
Where it hides in a firmware SBOM
ESP-IDF records it from the component's own sbom.yml file, so what the SBOM says depends on what that file declares.
The identifiers we assign
pkg:github/ThrowTheSwitch/CMock@{version}
{version} is filled in from your build.
The SBOM check adds these identifiers to a component your build listed without them.
